We’re back and ready for another good year!

Nestling in with MAD

Hello and welcome back to SK!

We have no good excuse for our too-long absence, but we’ll go with My Publicist having a lot going on. We started a few posts, then had to abandon them because of other commitments. Yes, it is hard to believe there is anything more important than SK, but on occasion, there is.

We don’t want to be dragging you into all that, so we’ll just pick up again. First, thanks for your patience. We know we may have lost a few frustrated readers. We get that. Second, we’ve been reading all of your posts, so we’re pretty much caught up with everyone. Third, we want to say thank you for stopping in. We know the Web is quite huge and you have plenty of options so we are always so touched when you spend a little time at SK.

We wish there was an app that allowed us to offer you a bit of catnip and a turn at my scratching pad while you are here – or you may prefer a chair and a few sips of your favorite beverage –  but short of that, we are always thrilled to have you spend time with us.

The year 2013 was a pretty good one. On the plus side, My Publicist eventually became OK with the idea that another female (me) moved in with MAD and was cozying up with him at night. And there were a few minor setbacks, such as realizing that MAD is never going to buy me a real mouse to play with. There were, however, no setbacks that we won’t overcome, which is good, because we’ve got some plans to follow through.

We see good things coming our way in 2014. We hope you join us as we continue on our journey through the blogosphere of women’s rights, human rights and a post or two dedicated to the life of a spoiled little tortie, rescued from the streets of NYC and now living in the comfort of Boston with a crazy Cub’s fan.

Happy New Year, xo, LMA

I’m thrilled that SK is up and running again. Breaks are necessary and maybe even beneficial, no matter what the reason. Welcome back.

PS – try one of the windup mice that scoot along the floor. Cleaner, albeit a far cry from an honest to goodness field mouse.
