Hello,
My publicist and I were going to take today off, as it’s Mother’s Day and we are here with her mother. But we thought we’d share a little something she stole from her friend Janet B.’s Facebook Page.
Janet won’t mind, will you? It says so much. And we added a cartoon to lighten things up, as it is also a day to have fun.
Wishing you all a Happy Mothers Day, you, too, Mom, wherever you are. xo LMA
From Janet B.:
What are the chances of reverting to Julie Ward Howe’s plan for Mother’s Day: A day to foster peace and cease the killing of mother’s precious sons. One carnation, in her day, was the symbol of that sentiment. What are the odds of freeing the day from sentimentality and materialism? (not that a nice big dinner out wouldn’t be nice)
Lovely post, Louisa May! And the cartoon says it all 🙂 Thanks for the peace reminder…
Who knows motherhood better than you, Stef? SK followers, here are links to both Stef’s blog http://stefblog-stefanie.blogspot.com/ and her twitter account @Stefanie3131. She also had a little something to do with the MOMologues. :).
If you think she sounds wonderful through her work, you should meet her in person – and her family. Stef is mom-extraordinaire! I have to say, my publicist has a way of surrounding herself with some of the kindest and most talented friends. xo LMA
I love the message of peace and the cartoon is so true. Hope you had a nice, relaxing Mother’s Day without having to become too many of those characters!
Hi Sheila, my publicist and I had a wonderful Mother’s Day visiting her mother and family. She and her sister-in-law went out for a nice lunch, seafood, my favorite, xo LMA
Thank you for following HoB. Much appreciated! I’ll be hanging around here…
Happy to be following a fellow opinionated feline Bowie fan!
